Important Update Regarding COVID-19 5/11/2020

To Our Valued Patient Family:

We hope you and your family remain in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • All patients will be screened the morning of their appointment via text or phone call for fever, cough, travel outside of the US within the past 14 days, or any known interaction with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 person within the past 14 days.

  • All patients must sign an informed consent and wellness form upon arrival at the office.

  • Patient temperature will be taken at time of the appointment with a touchless thermometer.

  • Social distancing will be enforced by limiting the number of people allowed in the building at one time. This limit includes the waiting room area.

  • Patients may be asked to wait in their cars until they can be walked directly to their treatment room. Anyone accompanying you must remain in the car to reduce the number of people in the office.

  • Patients will have access to disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, and hand soap throughout the office.

  • High volume air filtration and purification unit with HEPA filters in every operatory and at the front desk. This is in addition to the existing air filters in our air conditioning system.

  • Plexiglass sneeze and droplet guards were placed at the check-in and check-out areas that include a small slot along the countertop to slide credit cards, checks, and receipts through.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call or text our office at 704-864-8393.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

Stover Family Dentistry
