Important Update Regarding COVID-19 3/29/2020

To our valued Dental Family,

At this time the American Dental Association in conjunction with the North Carolina Dental Society has released the current recommendation to only treat emergent and urgent dental needs through at least April 16th.  As our entire society tries to mitigate the severity and spread of the Coronavirus, we will all endure hardships.

In compliance with current dental public health policies, our office will be implementing the following schedule changes immediately and extending them through at least April 20th:

Reschedule all elective dental procedures to include routine cleanings

See patients on an emergency basis for any dental emergency need such as pain, swelling, broken teeth, deep areas of decay, crown delivery and potential dental infections.  If you need to come in for an emergency visit, please be aware that you are receiving dental care during the coronavirus pandemic.  While our office is implementing appropriate CDC infection prevention and control recommendations there may be an increased risk of exposure to the coronavirus.  If you feel ill, have a cough or above normal temperature prior to your emergency appointment, please call our office to reschedule.

Request that if you have accompanied a patient to our office for their appointment that you please wait in the car for the duration of their treatment or drop them off and pick them back up at the end of their appointment.  Patients under 12 can still be accompanied by an adult/guardian.

All of the above measures are being made in an effort to practice social distancing, reduce the number of patients in the office at any given time, and flatten the curve. We will be operating with a reduced staff during this healthcare crisis so please bear with us if the phone is not immediately answered, but rest assured you will receive a timely call back. We look forward to continuing your routine dental care at such time as the CDC, WHO, ADA and NCDS feel it is appropriate to do so.

We understand that routine cleaning appointments have their importance. We are only striving to participate in our Country’s best efforts to slow the spread and ‘flatten the curve’.  Our goal is to spread practical information instead of the virus. As healthcare providers, our primary concern is your health and safety. If you experience a dental emergency please feel free to contact us.  We are closely monitoring the status of the Coronavirus in our community and nationally. We will continue to follow guidelines set by the CDC, World Health Organization, and the American Dental Association. Together, we can move forward and curb the spread of the virus.

Sincerely,

Your Team at Stover Family Dentistry
